Actions on Structures and Structural Reliability

Actions and Reliability

Actions on structures are an important, often underestimated aspect of structural design and planning. The appropriate consideration of actions has a significant influence on the safety, design and economy of the structures. Due to the long service lives of load-bearing structures, special considerations are required for safety and structural reliability, which today are usually associated with statistical methods.
