Structural Analysis IV

My research focuses on the investigation of crack systems that develop during the cutting of flat glass and their relationship to the edge strength of the glass pane. The main focus is on characterizing the crack structures induced by the cutting process and their influence on the mechanical behavior of the glass edge. In particular, the study examines how the geometry, characteristics, and distribution of cracks affect edge strength and to what extent these findings can be used to draw conclusions about the quality and load-bearing capacity of cut glass panes.
