My research focuses on the remanufacture of recovered insulating glass units into laminated safety glass. The main focus is on the technical feasibility of this process in the context of the circular economy. In particular, the influence of the surface quality of naturally aged glass on the adhesion within the laminate is investigated as the mechanical strength of the glass panes.
