As part of the Generative Design Lab, my work focuses on the application of additive manufacturing processes in the construction industry—specifically, the 3D printing of plastic formwork for casting complex concrete components. A central part of this work is the development of computer-aided methods that support the design, planning, and optimization of components and corresponding 3D-printable formwork systems. In addition, my work also includes developing and conducting acoustic simulations, evaluating acoustic measurement data, and optimizing components in terms of their acoustic performance.
